About Michele Fair

What inspires you?

I am inspired by all of my friends who are business owners and talented people with creative minds. Whether it’s a boat-cleaning business or a retail store that only sells goods made in America, so many of my friends are independent-minded and have taken complete control of their destinies! Seeing them thrive and continue to adapt to an ever-changing world is a huge inspiration and keeps me going, too.

What’s an uncommon fact about you?

An uncommon fact about me is that I was adopted when I was about six months old. My mother’s doctor told her she could not have children, so they adopted me and always told me I was the “cutest of the bunch.” Of course, four years later, my sister mysteriously showed up! It must’ve been that 1970s medicine that led my adopted mom to believe she’d never have a baby, but I am thankful my parents chose me.

Where’s your favorite place to hangout?

My favorite place to hang out is at live music venues. Ask anyone who knows me, and they will tell you that myself and my closest friends would rather hang out together at a live concert than pretty much anywhere else in the world. Music is a very important part of who I am, so spending time in dive bars, small venues, and arenas alike are all places that I thoroughly enjoy.

What are your hobbies?

My hobbies include traveling in the state of New Mexico with my husband and exploring new places. This state is vastly beautiful, full of vibrant culture, and it has a ton of amazing food, friendly people, and awe-inspiring nature. I enjoy taking photographs of the landscape here but also just going on long road trips or visiting museums and historical sites.

I’ve been an avid reader and prolific writer since my preschool days and I still absolutely love writing today. My dream job was to become a music reviewer for a magazine (think SPIN or Rolling Stone), but now I enjoy writing for the home decor, interior design, and DIY space. I’m currently in love with the maximalism style of interior décor, and I enjoy keeping up with the latest trends in home design. I also have a background in published poetry when it comes to creative writing, but I’m quite adept at writing blogs and colorful product descriptions for clients.
