About Phoenix Griffin

What inspires you?

I am inspired by people who put their lives on the line every day to take care of others. Heroes like firefighters, nurses, police, and military members work hard to make our world a safer place, often without thanks or notice. It takes courage and humility to make a career out of putting others first, no matter the cost.

What is your guilty pleasure?

My guilty pleasure is binge-watching shows about the culinary arts. I’m if feeling particularly adventurous, I sometimes try to recreate what I’ve seen from some of my favorite chefs. Unfortunately, it’s never quite turned out exactly as I’d hoped!

What are three words that your friends would use to describe you?

Three words my friends use to describe me are funny, quirky, and loyal. I feel that a day should never go by without finding humor in something – even if I have to make fun of myself to do it. I’m definitely quirky and tend to see the world in ways that others might not always understand. Fortunately, as a writer, I’m able to communicate my perspectives with enough time and thought. I’m also loyal; I view close friends as family members.

What fictional place would you like to visit?

One fictional place I would visit is Narnia. As a kid, my favorite author was C.S. Lewis. I was always obsessed with Narnia because I grew up in Texas where it rarely snowed. I couldn’t imagine a world where it was constantly wintertime and snow was always on the ground!
